This book is based on my own experiences of working twenty years in the medical field, as well as being a patient and advocating for my family members. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of seeing the healthcare system from multiple perspectives, giving me unique insights into both the challenges and opportunities for improvement.
As a healthcare professional, I have witnessed the incredible dedication and hard work of my colleagues, but I have also seen where the system falls short in truly addressing patient needs. My experiences have taught me that providing excellent patient care goes beyond just medical knowledge and technical skills. It involves empathy, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing the concerns of patients.
From my time as a patient, I have learned how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to navigate the healthcare system.
